  Welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that your username, "BSIUK", may not meet Wikipedia's username policy because it implies shared use as representing a company and not an individual. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. As an alternative, you may ask for a change of username by completing the form at Special:GlobalRenameRequest, or you may simply create a new account for editing. Thank you. Hi there - this user name is for Ursula König - freelancing for BSI to write a company page. BSI - UK. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 185.19.211.15 (talk) 08:53, 3 February 2021 (UTC)Reply

All right - as long as it’s not “BSI - United Kingdom”, that was the biggest concern. I would still make sure you review WP:COI thoroughly and ensure you use the WP:AFC process to create your new article. Though you’ve done the right things so far, please also make sure you maintain full compliance with WP:PAID - it’s probably one of the most sensitive policies the Wikipedia community monitors for compliance. Speedy deletion nomination of Business Systems International

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Business Systems International, requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which pages can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly-defined criteria, then it may soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Managing a conflict of interest

edit

  Hello, BSIUK. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:Spam);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. DoubleGrazing (talk) 17:38, 1 April 2021 (UTC)Reply

Further on conflict of interest

edit

It is appreciated that you have placed the proper notice that you are editing for pay. However, doing this does not relieve the responsibility to abide by our policies and guidelines. Chiefly in this case, you created an article for which you are being paid directly in mainspace, which you will see is contrary to our guidelines to editors with such a conflict of interest, and that article was promotional, which we do not permit. In the future, rather than directly creating any such article in mainspace, please ensure to create the article as a draft and request review by articles for creation, so that an editor without a conflict of interest can decide if it is ready to go into the encyclopedia. Material which is in any way promotional, including by "talking up", will not be permitted. Please let me know if you have any questions regarding these requirements.
