E-mails

You can use "Email this user", but I will probably reply on your talk page, or the article talk page, as discussions should be open and on the record.
I have experienced problems with e-mails not being delivered, so please leave me a message on this page if I have not replied within 48 hours.

Broadcasted

edit

The Wiktionary definition of Broadcasted states the use is sometimes proscribed, so it should not be used. The word also appears on Wikipedia:Lists_of_common_misspellings/B

Broadcasted appears in some dictionaries, but others, e.g. Chambers state "Sorry, no entries for Broadcasted were found".
Broadcast appears in all dictionaries, and should be used as COMMONALITY - "Wikipedia tries to find words that are common to all varieties of English".

A May 2023 search for Broadcast gave over 234,000 uses, compared with a search for Broadcasted which gave just 99.
Of these, 16 are redirects to "Broadcast" articles, 14 refer to a 2015 Canadian TV award and 5 relate to a 1924 cartoon. The rest are in quotations.

Help with Draft:Sakhawat Ali

edit

Hello I recently added this to list of people who has Colon Cancer. The stand alone article that was already there and I improved it. I was just wondering if you have a look?

Thank you for your help. Sa1e24 (talk) 14:28, 2 December 2024 (UTC)Reply

Hi Sa1e24, I am not a new page reviewer and know nothing about the subject.
The reviewer who reviewed your submission four times has since been indefinitely blocked, but that does not make their comments invalid.
You need to understand WP:42, which is a very short summary of policies and guidelines, which are linked to on that page. To prove notability, references need to meet all three criteria simultaneously "significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the topic", not passing mentions, not sources related to the article subject and not social media such as facebook or twitter.
I have carried out some minor tidying of format and removing "See also" entries already linked in the draft, but can help you no further. Best wishes - Arjayay (talk) 15:21, 2 December 2024 (UTC)Reply
great help man. i really appreciate because creating something takes time and than if doesn’t approved if waste of time. I will go through the resources you shared. Thank you! Sa1e24 (talk) 07:39, 3 December 2024 (UTC)Reply

About Canvas (software)

edit

Hi, why the redirect? Canvas is now a more general concept deserving a proper Wikipedia page instead of just a redirect to one particular software from one company. Or what would be a more appropriate title? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 46.223.162.39 (talk) 20:05, 3 December 2024 (UTC)Reply

Hello @Arjayay I have noticed that you reinstated the large language model. Could you help me to understand how you came to a conclusion that this is written by AI? The article is purely based on references from books and other trusted sources, and it has been carefully validated. We all want Wikipedia to be a trusted source and without verifying adding these will make Wikipedia bit less trust worthy. We all are in a mission of adding write info. People from the country and location will have more and correct info. Everything may not be documentated and we can not guarantee that every source like book. websites etc will contain the correct info.

Looking forward to your response.

Thank you! Anni in (talk) 15:15, 6 December 2024 (UTC)Reply

Hi Anni in. I did not "came to a conclusion that this is written by AI", all I did was reinstate the AI tag added by User:Miminity, which had been removed by a new IP without any justification. The fact that an article is based on books, does not mean it was not written by AI - even AI has to get (some of) its information from sources. As to why User:Miminity added the tag, you would need to ask them. - Best wishes - Arjayay (talk) 15:28, 6 December 2024 (UTC)Reply
Here is the problem. Since I am from India I know the history better than andy non Indian who may simply remove, undo, or add strike.Every one from that country will have more info about the History. Unfortunately everything may not be documented. There are lots of people, information which was never documented and the mission of Wikipedia to bring the history in front of everyone. There are pictures , references which shows the authenticity of the article. User: Miminity I am not sure how he reached at the conclusion hat this is AI generated. As you stated AI has to get info from sources. This means information is available and since internet is so large sometime its difficult to find every info.
