License tagging for Image:MobiLogo.gif
editThanks for uploading Image:MobiLogo.gif. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:

helpme
editHi Ajdrosario. How can I help? -- zzuuzz (talk) 23:30, 31 October 2006 (UTC)
How do I put those boxes on a page? I admit I'm very new to this...sigh... Like those contents and info boxes? Thanks Big Time--Ajdrosario 23:32, 31 October 2006 (UTC)Karla
- You probably want an Wikipedia:Infobox. Have a look through that page, or the better way is to just copy one from an existing similar page, and amend the details. -- zzuuzz (talk) 23:37, 31 October 2006 (UTC)
- No problem. I just wanted to add - you mentioned the contents box - the table of contents will appear automagically after there are more than, I think 3 subheadings. More info is at WP:SECT. -- zzuuzz (talk) 23:44, 31 October 2006 (UTC)

I was wondering if you mean to the image on the Bill Jarvis page? It looks like you've already figured it out. If you need any more help I'll be glad to help you though. ~ ONUnicorn (Talk / Contribs) 14:50, 1 November 2006 (UTC)
A tag has been placed on MarketManila.com, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because it is an article about a certain web site, blog, forum, or other community of web users that does not assert the importance or significance of that web location. If you plan to provide more notable material to the article, I advise you to do so immediately, and also put a note on Talk:MarketManila.com. An administrator should check for such edits before deleting the article. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Please read our criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 1 under Articles. Please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources which verify their content. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and then immediately add such material.Elomis 04:12, 2 November 2006 (UTC)
Look at WP:WEB for information as to the notability standards that an article about a website should meet. In general, there should be reliable external coverage (i.e., news articles) about the site. NawlinWiki 04:52, 2 November 2006 (UTC)
Maniliamarket.com
editHi, The rules for what can be in the Wikipedia are in a few documents but one of the most read are WP:WEB and WP:NOT so you might want to read that. Yes, references and sources are important but they are usually used to prove that a subject is notable or significant, I don't think ManiliaMarket would make the requirements for these. What is special or significant about ManilaMarket? why is it so different to other websites that it should have an encyclopedia article written about it? Would you find it in a paper encyclopedia if it wasn't for time and volume restrictions? Are there things about it that are so important and interesting that someone could read the article without going to the site and find it interesting and important or would the article just be advertising for the site? Just as a by-the-way I didn't delete your article, I just put the sign on it saying that it should be and an admin deleted it. Elomis 19:23, 2 November 2006 (UTC)

Orphaned fair use image (Image:MobiLogo.gif)
editThanks for uploading Image:MobiLogo.gif. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. File permission problem with File:Longanisa.jpg
editThanks for uploading File:Longanisa.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.
If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either
- make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
- Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.
If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en wikimedia.org.
If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Kelly hi! 04:33, 17 October 2011 (UTC)
