Welcome!
editHello, Abubakar Balarabe, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.
I noticed that one of the first articles you edited was Abdullahi Balarabe Salame, which appears to be dealing with a topic with which you may have a conflict of interest. In other words, you may find it difficult to write about that topic in a neutral and objective way, because you are, work for, or represent, the subject of that article. Your recent contributions may have already been undone for this very reason.
To reduce the chances of your contributions being undone, you might like to draft your revised article before submission, and then ask me or another editor to proofread it. See our help page on userspace drafts for more details. If the page you created has already been deleted from Wikipedia, but you want to save the content from it to use for that draft, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page.
One rule we do have in connection with conflicts of interest is that accounts used by more than one person will unfortunately be blocked from editing. Wikipedia generally does not allow editors to have usernames which imply that the account belongs to a company or corporation. If you have a username like this, you should request a change of username or create a new account. (A name that identifies the user as an individual within a given organization may be OK.)
In addition, if you receive, or expect to receive, compensation for any contribution you make, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation to comply with our terms of use and our policy on paid editing.

If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{Help me}}
before the question. Again, welcome! HandsomeBoy (talk) 03:10, 11 September 2020 (UTC)
- Honestly, speaking i never know who the person is, we only bear the same sun name, in order to avoid that, I will not edit on the article again, thank you. Thank you very much brother. Abubakar Balarabe (talk) 05:29, 11 September 2020 (UTC)
- Thank you for the nice words, I really appreciate it. Since you said its just a coincidence then that is fine. From your edit summaries, I see you you are quite conscious of verifiability, which is very laudable. Kindly register your username to WikiProject Nigeria, to get updates on our activities and if you need any assistance whatsoever don't hesitate to drop a message on the WikiProject talkpage. Disambiguation link notification for September 14
editHi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Mohammed Danjuma Goje, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page People's Democratic Party. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 07:04, 14 September 2020 (UTC)

editWelcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you recently removed maintenance templates from Yau Usman Idris. When removing maintenance templates, please be sure to either resolve the problem that the template refers to, or give a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Please see Help:Maintenance template removal for further information on when maintenance templates should or should not be removed. AfC notification: Draft:Transparent Hands Foundation has a new comment
editThank you, I will correct it and let you know. Abubakar Balarabe (talk) 12:30, 15 September 2020 (UTC)
Hello. Please stop changing dates to an incorrect format. MOS:DATE sets out how dates should be displayed on Wikipedia – i.e. "26 May 2008" or "May 26, 2008". Thanks, Number 57 23:13, 19 September 2020 (UTC)
- You should not change from one format to another unless it is in the wrong format for that country. For example, you should only change from 26 May to May 26 for American and Canadian-related topics as they are the only countries to use that date format as standard. See MOS:DATERET.
- Basically I would advise leaving dates alone. Number 57 23:55, 19 September 2020 (UTC)
- No problem, and keep up the good work removing puffery! Number 57 12:14, 20 September 2020 (UTC)

Hello. I wanted to let you know that your recent edit(s) to Tunji Oyelana have been removed because you cited the information you added to another Wikipedia article or an external wiki. As discussed at WP:CIRCULAR and WP:SPS, Wikipedia and other wikis should not be used in citations because they are not considered reliable sources. You are welcome to re-add the information using a different reference, perhaps from the article you originally linked to. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. -- Curb Safe Charmer (talk) 19:19, 24 September 2020 (UTC)

Personal appeal to participate in the AfroCine Contest
editHello Abubakar Balarabe, trust you have been good. I want to kindly request that you participate in the AfroCine contest which began this month, your participation will greatly improve the diversity of the contest and close key knowledge gaps. It is all about creating at least one article related to African cinema. Can I suggest that you consider Gamu nan Dai or Mansoor (2017 film)? Both Kannywood films won notable awards at different levels so should pass WP:NFILMS. If you start any of them I will assist in improving and expanding their content. Secondly, you need to add your username to Wikipedia:WikiProject_AfroCine/Months_of_African_Cinema#Participants. Thank you so much for your contributions to Wikipedia, it is greatly appreciated. How do you choose what to write about?
editHi Abubakar. I am intrigued. There are 7,800,000,000 people in the world - why did you choose to write about Nonso Okpala? Curb Safe Charmer (talk) 16:39, 15 October 2020 (UTC)
Hy! Curb Safe Charmer, i never expect such words from you. I decided to write about Nonso Okpala when i came across his biography on a business magazine where he narrated his starting career. But I don't have any hidden plane about the article and it happens to everyone that you can propose an article and it can be deleted for a reason. Therefore, i advise you to be always kind and just in your words. Abubakar Balarabe (talk) 17:15, 15 October 2020 (UTC)
I really respect you as an experienced editor, and everything i do is known, so you can go through all my Contributions and see if i can be described as someone with hidden plane. My frd, we always learn from our mistake, so it becomes a lesson to me which helps me promoting my experience on wikipedia. Hence, you have to be simple to me as someone who knows nothing on Wikipedia, you can notice that you adviced me some days a go and I used used some of your advices. Abubakar Balarabe (talk) 17:34, 15 October 2020 (UTC)
- I am not being unkind or unjust. I am just asking a question. It sounds like the magazine article about Nonso Okpala was a good one. You should include it as a reference in the article and it might help show how he is notable. Which magazine was it? Curb Safe Charmer (talk) 19:41, 15 October 2020 (UTC)
Yes! I have to say that to you,Curb Safe Charmer as an experienced editor, you are the first person who spoke to me like that. I have never come across an editor who spoke to me like that bar you. Through out all my activities, you can notice who i am, indeed,i am not the kind of person you expect, it is just passion for writing that is why i contribute on wikipedia. And then weather the magazine is reliable or not I am 100% support of its deletion since it doesn't meet with the policy of being accepted for notability and then you have suspected me of having a hidden plane. Thank you very much for expressing your mind to me, and then you are the only person who did that to me. I want to you to know that you will lose respect from me if you relete me with someone who has a hidden mission. Abubakar Balarabe (talk) 20:20, 15 October 2020 (UTC)
- Hi Abubakar Balarabe. Curb Safe Charmer has shown you good respect and courtesy, they have simply asked you a question. There was no suggestion of you "having a hidden plane". So which magazine article sparked your interest to create the article about Nonso Okpala? Cheers, 1292simon (talk) 10:37, 31 October 2020 (UTC)

- Cabayi, that’s all shades of suspicious. Celestina007 (talk) 17:00, 17 October 2020 (UTC)
- Cabayi Indeed it is suspicious. I had a look at the block log for 8 and 9 October. Nobody gets blocked for 21 hours. I think they remembered wrongly and it was probably 31 hours. A great many IPs get blocked for 31 hours, so it may well have been that he was trying to edit while logged out. There weren't many registered users blocked for 31 hours in that period, so I went through the ones that were, and the only account that showed any interest in Nigerian articles was ClementAZ, an account that was created on 6 October, edited only on 9 October, got temporarily blocked and hasn't edited since. Em-mustapha 03:42, 27 October 2020 (UTC)Speedy deletion nomination of Nigerian Army University Biu
editIf this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Nigerian Army University Biu, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. 1292simon (talk) 10:30, 31 October 2020 (UTC)

Deletion of {{jargon}} template at Garrett page
editGreetings Abubakar_Balarabe. I see you removed a {{jargon}} template I had inserted at the Garrett Camp article, seeking clarification of an obtuse technological reference in its lead. Do not do this. Either address what it is requesting or leave it alone. Adding some copy that the company the obtuse term was used to describe was sold to another may belong somewhere in the article, unlikely in its lead, but does not serve as a substitution for addressing or warrant for removing an intratext flag such as {{jargon}}.
