Articles for Creation urgently needs your help!

edit

Articles for Creation is desperately short of reviewers! We are looking for urgent help, from experienced editors, in reviewing submissions in the pending submissions queue. Currently there are 1468 submissions waiting to be reviewed and many help requests at our Help Desk.

Do you have what it takes?
  1. Are you familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines?
  2. Do you know what Wikipedia is and is not?
  3. Do you have a working knowledge of the Manual of Style, particularly article naming conventions?
  4. Can you review submissions based on their individual merits?

If the answer to these questions is yes, then please read the reviewing instructions and donate a little of your time to helping tackle the backlog. You might wish to add {{AFC status}} or {{AfC Defcon}} to your userpage, which will alert you to the number of open submissions.

PS: we have a great AFC helper script at WP:AFCH!

Diamond Dash AfC

edit

Hey there A480641,

I just wanted to have a little chat about the AfC Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Diamond Dash you reviewed last week.

I get your point that the main Wooga GmbH page contains adequate information regarding its games, but I think more detailed understanding of the game and screenshots, if I can work out copyright issues are helpful for a majority of people searching for the game. For example, either gamers looking for something totally opinionless, or developers looking for ideas/historical background.

Do you think this is miles off, or do you think I just need to find (if any exist) more references from, say, forbes, FT, Reuters etc?

Thanks for your help. I really appreciate it.

TheAvidGamer (talk) 10:53, 2 April 2014 (UTC)Reply

Thank you very much. I'm quite interested in understanding more, and getting a clearer idea of the golden rule in practice. I also doubt I will find anything that I haven't already, but will nonetheless try.

Motto of the Day Help Request April 2014

edit
Today's motto...

Hey Jude, don't make it bad. Take a sad song and make it better.

Nominate one today!

Motto of the Day (WP:MOTD) is in a state of emergency and really needs your help! There are not enough editors who are reviewing or nominating mottos at Wikipedia:Motto of the day/Nominations/In review, and this probably means that you will notice a red link or “This space for rent” as our mottos for the next weeks and months.

Please take a moment to review the nominations and nominate your own new mottos at Wikipedia:Motto of the day/Nominations/In review and Wikipedia:Motto of the day/Nominations/'Specials. Any help would be appreciated! MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 09:13, 29 April 2014 (UTC)Reply

This message has been sent by pjoef on behalf of Motto of the Day to all editors of the English Wikipedia who are showing MOTD's templates on their pages, and to all the participants to MOTD: (page, template, and category).
