Thank-you so much for writing this, I always intended to but never quite got around to it :) You might want to add some wikiproject banners to the talk page, to get extra notice. Parrot of Doom 23:03, 21 October 2009 (UTC)
- Click the talk page for Mary Toft. The project banners are up at the top. Just copy the relevant banners to the Sooterkin talk page, leave the importance and ratings empty, and someone will come along and fix them up shortly :) There may be other banners, wikiproject medicine, wikiproject mouse-type-creatures, etc. Its just a case of getting the article noticed. You might also give WP:DYK a try, that'll certainly get some traffic. Parrot of Doom 23:56, 21 October 2009 (UTC)
- Have a look at the sources and books in the Toft article, especially this one. It really is a major bitch-slap by Douglas, to Maubray. Parrot of Doom 00:26, 22 October 2009 (UTC)
- I'd love to but right now I'm busy with a load of Pink Floyd articles, and Fred Dibnah. Anyways I'm off to bed! Parrot of Doom 00:38, 22 October 2009 (UTC)

editThe maps have a description, explaining the coloring. I'm not experienced in uploading media, especially the things around it. I don't think, the maps are being used. They were supposed to, but the discussion to Beijing 2008 revealed, that these maps are of minor if not none value at all to wikipedia. So I don't bother. Toscho (talk) 13:43, 9 November 2009 (UTC)
Melanie Phillips - Question Time quote
editI'm glad you added that as I was just about to rewind to see if I heard the date correctly!!
I even had to look up the dates of Clinton's presidency to make sure I wasn't wrong.
Thanks Cannonmc (talk) 09:14, 28 November 2009 (UTC)
Update:
Received from our Mel yesterday:
"It was a slip of the tongue: I meant to say 1998. I realised this a few minutes later but was given no opportunity to say so. Apologies."
Cannonmc (talk) 12:33, 29 November 2009 (UTC)
Sorry, but the link was an email to me after I emailed her at the address on her web site. Later in that programme (I can only watch QT in short bursts so I don't throw something through the TV) she dismissed the scientists involved in the email row at UEA as just "four or five" - turns out that they are four or five of the most influential in that particular debate. editCould you clarify something for me? I was looking at the article you started some time ago Waldrada. I made a few changes to it, but then I noticed something odd. Does not this appear to be the same text? Thanks.Wjhonson (talk) 00:06, 10 December 2009 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Gillian Duffy
editA tag has been placed on Gillian Duffy requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. WikiTome Talk 11:48, 28 April 2010 (UTC)
You can remove this notice at any time by removing the {{Talkback}} or {{Tb}} template.

Erwin Mayer
edit... or Meyer, the German ace shot down by Litvyak: it is extremely difficult to collect informations about him, if you can, please try yourself. What I quoted is what I found on my several books about Soviet airwomen and Luftwaffe aces of units... It is simple to write "Clarification needed", what is very difficult is to find an answer! All the best!! --Gian piero milanetti (talk) 14:56, 6 November 2010 (UTC)
@ Ciao... thanks for the clarification. I am probably an "experte" in some facts of WWII aviation but I am not so deep in awards. I am afraid I did the same mistake of Amy in my book about Soviet Aviatrixes going to be released in the next months. But I have to repeat what I already told You: I could not find any supplementary information about Meyer, probably I found more than the other authors that wrote about Soviet Airwomen: the books about German aces in my library do not mention Meyer, only a book about Luftwaffe on the East Front, by Christ Bergstrom, quote him, but without saying he was an ace, just a warrant officer. The news about female pilots are extremely difficult to find as well, as the records have been lost, so "we" must rely on the accounts of the surviving personnel. By chance I could have - for instance - a copy of a document from the secret archives about the last mission of Litvyak that casts a new light about her misterious end, but the straight access to secret archives is very difficult if not impossible... Let's wait, I am curious to see who can clarify that doubt. Arrivederci!! --Gian piero milanetti (talk) 06:29, 14 November 2010 (UTC)

Soviet Airwomen
editHello, how are You doing? I hope you are doing well... May I ask You just one question: my book about the Soviet airwomen has been released http://www.aviolibri.it/prodotti/8678_gian_piero_milanetti_le_streghe_della_notte_la_storia_non_detta_delle_eroiche_ragazze_pilo.php?page=1&ordina=data_inserimento ... I should add some of the datas and informations that I discovered, but I do not know if it is possible in wikipedia... May I quote myself? I am afraid not... regards --Gian piero milanetti (talk)
Litvyak Kills
editHello, have You seen the table of Litvyak kills, with name of pilot and units involved? I was so pleased at first to see it, as I am struggling hard to find those datas, checking all books that could refer to Litvyak available on the market, Bergstrom texts, books about JG 52, JG 3, Bographies of German aces, Bundes ARchives researches... but I NEVER found those informations - except those of the double Bf 109 kills in March. As I see there is no reference about those kills. I sent a message to RusoArgentino, but anyway I am rather startled... --Gian piero milanetti (talk) 06:11, 22 April 2011 (UTC)

- Thought you might reply in such an adult and obviously experienced manner. Your knowledge of Wikipedia protocol, policy and tool usage speaks for itself. And, as for my comments on old threads; it is entertaining. I would have thought that you of all people would have appreciated that.1812ahill (talk) 23:10, 9 October 2012 (UTC)

- Yes, tools seem to be the thing of the moment. Since you seem to have so much time to watch so many articles and user pages, please, for my personal interest, enlighten me as to what exactly it is that you study at your college - I'm guessing Wikipedia studies with a minor in esoteric English. From the general flavour of your prose I presume you are in the UK - correct me if I am wrong - in which case, isn't it time to go to bed for the busy day's studies that await you?1812ahill (talk) 23:40, 9 October 2012 (UTC)
- You correctly assume that my user page is referring to London, UK and not London, Ontario, an easy mistake which you must congratulate yourself for avoiding. That NCIS have launched a tenth season must appeal to someone of your investigative capabilities. But what you have not accounted for is the ineluctable nocturnality 1 that affects all students, the enthralling Fifth Elephant and the remarkable vivifying properties of a cup of coffee 2, all of which militate against a premature termination of the evening's activities.
- 1 Student lore stipulates that all oil-saturated, cholesterol-loaded fry-ups are best consumed after nightfall while watching an adult film.
- 2 I happen to think that the singularity that flung matter everywhere and kick-started life was in fact a Nespresso coffee-bean fashioned by God.3

- This analysis, the divinity of Clooney, has proven most challenging to fundamentalist theologians, who grapple with the biblical concept that we are all created in the Image of God. - If I had the faintest idea of what analysis you are talking about, then I might be able to comment. Are you referring to your statement above? If so then I think I've spotted a small flaw. I don't look like George Clooney. Do you? ...OMG... Can I have your autograph?!?1812ahill (talk) 18:37, 19 October 2012 (UTC)

- What, that you should know better? As you wish. Chaheel Riens (talk) 12:45, 18 December 2012 (UTC)
- You know what I meant, and if a Hammond sycophant has nothing better to do than watch a user's page for updates on a valid point made about his pathetic contibutions to mankind's knowledge, then so be it, 'as you wish'. You are right for reverting me; I shouldn't have used the word 'tosser'. That would be far more appropriate for his *ugh* boss.1812ahill (talk) 22:08, 18 December 2012 (UTC)
- You're throwing insults at Tim Davie now? What did he ever do to you? Seriously 1812ahill, you need to moderate your approach on this - whatever your feelings regarding Hammond and his productions, the fact remains that you're skirting perilously close to some serious BLP violations (I notice you made a direct accusation of fraud in the post Chaheel Riens removed). Wikipedia isn't the place to discuss your opinions of celebrities - your opinions (and mine, and anyone else's) aren't of interest here, unless they're backed by policy, consensus or reliable sources. If you want to rant at Hammond, be my guest; just do it on Facebook, Twitter, Reddit or one of the hundreds of other popular sites that will offer you a forum for your thoughts. Please keep discussions here both civil and focussed on article improvements. Regards, Yunshui 雲水 10:15, 19 December 2012 (UTC)

It is most encouraging that you recognise my good behavior; if I create User:AnkhMorpork/starchart, maybe you might be able to praise my meritorious conduct on a more regular basis? Touché! I must confess that your joke about Mr. Hammond's rocketry adventures went over the top of my head.
