Circassian mass graves

edit

I understand your concerns, however, I think the way you are going about it isn't right. It isn't constructive. It will only cause yet another edit war between Russian nationalist-minded editors and the others... The way the page is right now is fine. But you can add much-needed info about Circassians- Circassian traditions, Circassian history and so on. Wikipedia really lacks that, rather than another edit war. --Yalens (talk) 13:58, 15 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, adding or significantly changing content without citing a reliable source, as you did with this edit to Meo, is not consistent with our policy of verifiability. If you are familiar with Wikipedia:Citing sources, please take this opportunity to add references to the article. Trusilver 23:04, 3 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

Can you explain your edits?

In changing the Urdu and Shahmukhi scripts? The old interwiki link appears to be working on Karisma Kapoor, so why the new one? —SpacemanSpiff 20:09, 11 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

They both forms of the same alphabet. One is more formal and other non-formal.174.117.182.104 (talk) 22:05, 11 July 2011 (UTC)Reply
But you are breaking inter wiki links: you are converting active links to non-existent links. I don't know what the correct representation in either scripts is for the article content, but please don't change the inter-wiki links. —SpacemanSpiff 07:06, 12 July 2011 (UTC)Reply
How can avoid breaking links and at the same time make changes? 174.117.182.104 (talk) 15:35, 12 July 2011 (UTC)Reply
Don't change the interwiki links, they are the ones that show as [[pnb.xyxyxyx]] and so on. If you wish to change those spellings you have to ask at that wiki, not on the English Wikipedia. I don't know if your other spelling changes are correct or not, but you keep getting reverted on those too, it will help if you actually open a discussion on the talk page such as Talk:Soha Ali Khan and explain why you are making those changes and wait for feedback. And more importantly when you save an edit leave an edit summary telling why you made the change. cheers. —SpacemanSpiff 15:43, 12 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

Warning

edit

I noticed you change "Mohammedan" and related forms to "Muslim" throughout all articles. Please do not so in quotes. Where the original is quoted, we should not change their choice of words. I have reverted your edits in those cases. Debresser (talk) 15:00, 14 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Haleem has been reverted.
Your edit here to Haleem was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline. The external link(s) you added or changed (http://nidhiraizada.blogspot.com/2008/10/difference-between-khichri-khichra-and.html, http://nidhiraizada.blogspot.com/2008/10/difference-between-khichri-khichra-and.html) is/are on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. If the external link you inserted or changed was to a blog, forum, free web hosting service, fansite, or similar site (see 'Links to avoid', #11), then please check the information on the external site thoroughly. Note that such sites should probably not be linked to if they contain information that is in violation of the creator's copyright (see Linking to copyrighted works), or they are not written by a recognised, reliable source. Linking to sites that you are involved with is also strongly discouraged (see conflict of interest).
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! --XLinkBot (talk) 20:28, 14 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

and comply.

Edit Warring

edit

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war. Users are expected to collaborate with others and avoid editing disruptively.

In particular, the three-revert rule states that:

  1. Making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24-hour period is almost always grounds for an immediate block.
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you continue to edit war, you may be blocked from editing without further notice.

...for your contribution to the article Canis lupus dingo!Chrisrus (talk) 19:39, 14 October 2011 (UTC) It looks as if this source is so old that it spoke of a time when Pakistan and India were one colony of England called "India". Thank you for changing it to the fact that it's not in India anymore. Chrisrus (talk) 19:39, 14 October 2011 (UTC)Reply
