Hey,
Could you please explain your reasoning for tagging the above article? It didn't meet the criteria for U1 (unless you are that user?), nor does it seem logical to request the deletion of a test page less than one minute after it has been created. As for G7, it doesn't look as though the author was requesting deletion at all.
I just don't get it. Could you please enlighten me?

Untitled Marc Lawrence/Hugh Grant Comedy
editHello, regarding Untitled Marc Lawrence/Hugh Grant Comedy, I have found references that provide significant coverage about the topic and have used them to make the Wikipedia article more full-bodied. I think that the article satisfies WP:CRYSTAL because everything is verified and nothing is speculative. Per WP:NFF, the threshold for having an article about a future film is if filming has taken place, and that is the case here. I hope you can take a moment to review the current version of the article and consider if it is worth keeping. Erik (talk | contribs) 14:23, 17 July 2013 (UTC)

It's been removed for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Codename Lisa (talk) 09:05, 4 September 2013 (UTC)

G8'd the sandboxen of new users
editA) Being sandboxen, those pages aren't really dependent on the redirect target so much as the user existing. That, and moving around and then deleting the sandboxen of inexperienced users so they can't follow what's happened is just bad encyclopaediaship for the reasons explained at Wikipedia:Please do not bite the newcomers. editHi. I've undone your closes because (as I understand it) a non-admin can't close on a verdict they can't enforce. That is, a non-admin can close as Keep, Merge or Redirect, but not Delete as they can't do it. Anyway, the discussions were only started today, and are supposed to be up for about a week. It is OK to put a speedy tag on something listed at XfD, but the discussion stays open until either the tag is acted on and an admin deletes it (and the discussion may then be non-admin or admin closed as 'Speedy Deleted') or removed (in which case the discussion stays open anyway...). It is possible to close as Keep before time, but really only if someone has called SNOW and there are loads of Keeps and no Deletes (except the nomination). It's safer to leave it. Things can change quite quickly some times. OK? Definitely don't close something where there's only the nomination present. Even after seven days. If it's got that far, relist it. Boeing 797 hoax reg
editHi Ï¿½
Please visit the talk page of Boeing X-48 (https://en.wiki.x.io/wiki/Talk:Boeing_X-48) to see the notability of the Boeing 797 hoax.
Wikipedia is a very important source of information for people, today. Removing tiny bits of information does not help educate people. At the time of creating that section, I visited wikipedia searching for info on the Boeing 797. failing to find anything, i resorted to the rest of the net. at the end, i managed to collate quite a bit of info including the exact issue from which the image was sourced.
the whole point of wikipedia is to educate people, not to hide info. for your info, this design is based on BWB-450 on which the X-48A and subsequently B & C are based. in short, this render was inspired from an actual physical concept model preceding X-48. also fyi, the BWB-450 was supposed to be a 450 passenger aircraft BWB concept but when the design was carried over to X-48, it was decided to scrap the passenger part for the time being with more focus on military applications like air-refuelling.
officially, there is no talk by boeing or nasa to bring in such planes to the commercial sector in the imminent future. and this is where the 797 hoax has to be mentioned and cleared.
I am open to further discussion but as a hoax, it is still quite notable. I would like to revert this by the weekend, if possible.
Perhaps we can arrange a discussion on the Talk page of Blended Wing Body to reword the info a bit - however, it is important that people are educated about this hoax. We want wikipedia to be a source of reliable knowledge, right? If nothing is available here, the average person will resort to a questionable blog and think the info there is correct.
Till the date a Boeing 797 is truly released & a wiki page created for it, this section needs a home under the Blended Wing Body page. --Krishvanth (talk) 01:40, 18 November 2014 (UTC)
- It’s not me who deleted the section. You’re talking to the wrong person. (talk) 07:00, 18 November 2014 (UTC)

Non-preemptive multitasking
editHello! Please have a look at a recent expansion I've made to the Nonpreemptive multitasking article – as I've noted in one of my reverts on the Cooperative Scheduler redirect, now it's Ok to have it pointing to Nonpreemptive multitasking, and I've modified a few other redirects in the same way. Hope you agree, and sorry for a few back-and-forth reverts – the old redirect link IMHO provided slightly better context before the expansion of the new destination. — Dsimic (talk | contribs) 13:38, 15 August 2015 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of 🔞
editIf this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on 🔞, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion debate, such as at articles for deletion. Under the specified criteria, where a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after debate, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. —Godsy(TALKCONT) 14:59, 25 July 2016 (UTC)

Why did you move this page to User:Umbrella? anshAnsh666 07:18, 26 July 2018 (UTC)
- Um, because that user page was not created by User:Umbrella~enwiki, but by User:☂ to provide a disambiguation link under the previous name. Having it at any place besides User:Umbrella defeats its purpose. (talk) 08:22, 26 July 2018 (UTC)
- I see your point. Do you think it's really necessary at this point, though? User:☂ hasn't edited in 3.5+ years and was never really active in the first place. If you do, I guess you can move it back. ansh666 16:51, 26 July 2018 (UTC)
- This has been done incorrectly (i.e. it shouldn't have been done at all), and Ansh666 was right to revert your change. There are two separate accounts at play here: Special:CentralAuth/Umbrella and Special:CentralAuth/Umbrella~enwiki. The first one (Umbrella) has it's home wiki on trwiki and should not have an enwiki userpage until they create it. The second one (Umbrella~enwiki) is the current username of the old Umbrella account (see more at mw:SUL finalisation). User:Umbrella should be moved back to User:Umbrella~enwiki and User:Umbrella should be deleted, as the Umbrella~enwiki account does not retain the right to the Umbrella name and userpage. I'd also suggest that users be more careful when moving pages that have been previously moved due to renames. Nihlus 01:58, 29 July 2018 (UTC)
- The point is that User:Umbrella~enwiki did not create his userpage, but it was created by someone else just because of the name. So they don't have the right to the page. (talk) 05:03, 29 July 2018 (UTC)

Mangling links
editPlease stop doing this. That serves no purpose whatsoever. That is not what shortcuts are for. They are for editors to use to make typing faster in talk pages and in their own URL bar. Use as a piped link target, all it does it make it harder for users (especially new ones) to have a clear idea where the link is going to take them. "WP:LQ" is completely meaningless to anyone who is not a long-term editor already (and still meaningless to any who are a) not frequent MoS visitors and b) have been for so long they were around before the "MOS:LQ" shortcut style was introduced something like a decade ago). — SMcCandlish ☏ ¢ 😼 21:38, 27 July 2018 (UTC)
- Self-trout Sorry. I don’t even remember making that edit. The only explanation must be that i have wanted to make some edit to that page, and in process deleted and re-added the header, and then forgot about the rest of the edit. I have a perfectly cromulent explanation for deleting and re-adding the header: I was wondering whether i should change that to {{explanatory supplement}}, and then after re-reading the essay decided that no, the essay is too much direct and not enough passive-aggressive for something called “explanatory”. (talk) 23:12, 27 July 2018 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Conspicuous
editIf this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice to inform you that a tag has been placed on Conspicuous requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, images, a rephrasing of the title, a question that should have been asked at the help or reference desks, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. I have closed your deletion nomination of Philosophy of color. Just because an article doesn't contain a certain piece of information does not mean it has to be deleted. Speedy deletion nomination of
editHello Nowak Kowalski,
I wanted to let you know that I just tagged for deletion, because it doesn't appear to contain any encyclopedic content. Take a look at our suggestions for essential content in short articles to learn what should be included.
If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.
You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions.

- Hi what are all these pages you have created without any text in the title? Dom from Paris (talk) 15:51, 6 September 2018 (UTC)

"Window XX" speedy deletion bomb
editWhat's with the speedy deletion bomb? I only made these redirects because "Window XP" and "Window Vista" redirected to Windows XP and Windows Vista respectively, so I felt all the other Windows versions should have a "Window XX" redirect. I don't want to be, you know, potentially blocked or anything just for making all of these redirects. Colgatepony234 (talk) 14:19, 8 September 2018 (UTC)
- On a second thought, i was overreacting and these don't need to be deleted. It's not like there is another thing called Window 1.0 or so — it is obvious what it is a misspelling of. But if you continue making redirects from implausible misnomers, as indicated by your talk page, you will get blocked for disruption. Nowak Kowalski (talk) 14:32, 8 September 2018 (UTC)
Thanks for the revert
editI admit that it is my error. Thanks for fixing that. Cheers. 1233Talk 02:02, 1 October 2018 (UTC)

Re: Nomination for deletion of Template:Tft
editTemplate:Tft still has some related orphaned content (e.g., Template:Tft/doc), and numerous other template docs still link to it. As far as I can tell, all uses of it have been replaced over the years, but it's been a while since I've worked much with templates, and it's hard to verify since it's a subst template. Do you think you (or someone else with more recent experience) could clean up the now-outdated links and pages? Along the way, chances are you'll also find some other metatemplates I made ages ago that have been orphaned, since they were primarily used by tft. If you're not able to do the cleanup, I can attempt it, but it might take me a while since I haven't worked with any of this in several years. Thanks! —Zenexer [talk] 04:47, 14 January 2019 (UTC)
Hi, I'm RonBot, a script that checks new non-free file uploads. I have found that the subject image that you recently uploaded was more than 5% in excess of the Non-free content guideline size of 100,000 pixels. I have tagged the image for a standard reduction, which (for jpg/gif/png/svg files) normally happens within a day. Please check the reduced image, and make sure that the image is not excessively corrupted. Other files will be added to Category:Wikipedia non-free file size reduction requests for manual processing. There is a full seven-day period before the original oversized image will be hidden; during that time you might want to consider editing the original image yourself (perhaps an initial crop to allow a smaller reduction or none at all). A formula for the calculation of the desired size can be found at WP:Image resolution, along with instructions on how to tag the image in the rare cases that it requires an oversized image (typically about 0.2% of non-free uploads are tagged as necessarily oversized). Please contact the bot owner if you have any questions, or you can ask them at Wikipedia talk:Non-free content. See User:RonBot for info on how to not get these messages. Speedy deletion nomination of Wikipedia:HITLER
editIf this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Wikipedia:HITLER requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion discussion, at Wikipedia:Redirects_for_discussion/Log/2015_April_28#Wikipedia:Hitler. When a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after a discussion, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.
