History of TWB
editPresented by David Burke and Paul Fahy, the show first went to air on Sunday the 6th of February 2005 from 10:30pm. This was a temporary timeslot. The programme lasted several weeks on Sunday nights before making a permanent move to Saturday nights at midnight. The show remained in this slot until November 2007, moving to the new time of 8-til-10pm.
The show was first planned in 2003. Some of the initially proposed names for the show included: The Insomiacs; Good Morning Wollongong; The Late Shift; The Carl Scully Show; and; The Lathams. Interesting, "The Lathams", in reference to former Australian Labor Party leader Mark Latham, was decided to be too obscure. This was prior to Mark Latham's rise to the party leadership and then sudden self-capitulation.
