This sketch proposal is in need of improvement. Although it is in personal Userspace, the creator strongly welcomes any improvements or adjustments, since this is a Wiki after all! All comments welcome: would a directory like this be a helpful addition to your Wikipedia experience, or would it have been if you were a new user?

The Canada directory is dedicated to Wikipedia's coverage of Canada. A large number of WikiProjects, notice boards and collaborations actively work to improve our Canadian content. If you want to contribute in this area, you can use the resources listed here to help co-ordinate your activities with other editors, or to find out what jobs need to be done: for instance, supplying a missing picture, collaborating with other editors to bring an article up to featured status, or expanding one of our many stub-length articles. Flag of Canada	Canada portal Canada is the country occupying most of the northern portion of North America, and is the world's second largest country in total area. Originally inhabited exclusively by aboriginal peoples, Canada was founded as a union of British colonies, some of which had earlier been French colonies. Now a federal dominion of ten provinces with three territories, Canada peacefully obtained sovereignty from its last colonial possessor, the United Kingdom, in a process beginning in 1867 with its formation and ending in 1982 when Canada gained the authority to amend its own constitution.
