Nadejda Marques
editHi Tatibitati, thanks for being open to feedback on your draft of Nadejda Marques. When I have a chance later today I will review in more detail but I suspect we may still have some outstanding issues. I wanted to point you in the direction of some resources that may help you with this article.
- WP:BLP is a policy that is necessary to be familiar with when writing about living people. Biographies of living people are treated with a high level of caution and appropriate sourcing due to the potential for defamation or other legal issues.
- WP:RS outlines Wikipedia’s standards for reliable sources. One thing I wanted to point out is that the citations used must be reliable and independent, so the news articles from universities that this person works for are not considered independent.
- WP:NOTABILITY is also an important guideline used to determine what is worthy of an article and what isn’t. On that page I believe you will find a section on professors and scholars. Unfortunately, not all actively publishing professors are automatically considered notable and notability must be established for article creation.
I hope you find this helpful. As a new editor, there are a lot of policies you need to be familiar with, but they help us ensure quality of content. Let me know if there is anything I can help you with. †Basilosauridae❯❯❯Talk 18:49, 28 September 2018 (UTC)
