[CenTex ASPA] or the Central Texas Chapter of the American Society for Public Administration (ASPA) is a non-profit, professional association composed of practitioners, academics and graduate students who are interest in the field of public administration. The CenTex ASPA Chapter serves the public administration, public policy and public management professionals of Central Texas primarily in Austin and San Marcos. The Chapter has a close affiliation with Texas State University-San Marcos and the University of Texas at Austin. CenTex ASPA is dedicated to advancing the science, processes, and art of public administration, as well as encouraging and facilitating the interchange of ideas and information among Central Texans interested or engaged in the field of public administration. CenTex ASPA also promotes public administration in Central Texas through professional development and networking activities (annual conference, luncheon speakers, social events, an annual public service recognition week awards banquet and activities such as election analysis).
