NEPS News Service
North East Press Service (NEPS)[1] is the first Independent News Service of the North East India. This was first established in the year of 2002 with dedicated and committed journalists working in the north east India. Many media houses around the world use the news of the NEPS News Service and today it is widely respected including decision makers of New Delhi and even the high ranking India’s policy makers. Numbers of NEPS stories create sometime huge public debates and sometimes it serves it purposes.
NEPS News Service mainly focuses on the issues that are mostly concerning the people of the north east India. The north east India is economically, educationally backward comparing with the rest of India. There are economic imbalances and the region is plagued with insurgency too. There are many insurgent groups operating in north east India and their demands range from “Autonomy to separate homeland.” Representatives of many insurgent groups are also engaged in talks with New Delhi to find solution to their problem.
NEPS News Service gives constructive write-ups from time to time so as to push the parties in talks to find amicable solution acceptable to the people of the region.
