I am this guy. I maintain the Hy programming language.
Most of what I do on Wikimedia is correcting typos, fixing markup, creating redirects, reverting vandalism, and the like. Here are my more substantive contributions:
- Wikipedia stubs created
- Wiktionary pages created
- Wikiquote pages created
- Additions to existing articles
Before I created this account, from 2008 to 2012, I edited Wikipedia as w:User:Saric.
Some philosophy of Wikipedia
- Despite claims to the contrary, Wikipedia has an incredibly bureaucratic and legalistic heart. See for example the vast swarm of rules, policies, guidelines, and exceptions regarding article deletion, or how the Arbitration Committee conducts itself like a bunch of judges and dates to the minute and counts cosigners to restatements of settled policy.
- Notability shouldn't be a guideline for inclusion, but verifiability should be, and most articles that could be deleted on the grounds of notability could just as easily be deleted as having too little coverage in reliable sources for anything but a few sentences about them to be verifiable—and a few sentences does not an encyclopedia article make.
