Notes

edit
  • ^Note 1 : Sue was called out randomly to become the first participant in the show; she was eligible to choose her opponent from the entire group of contestants.
  • ^Note 2 : From this duel forward up until the semifinals, the winner of the duel was eligible to pick one of three randomly-selected contestants.
  • ^Note 3 : Monica, who was previously in the third spot of the leaderboard, was eliminated after Julie lost her third duel to Karla. Monica did not win any money in her first duel.
  • ^Note 4 : Denise, who was previously in the second spot of the leaderboard, was eliminated after Robert E. won his first duel. She had a total of $5,000 compared to Karla's $45,000.
  • ^Note 5 : Sue, who was previously in the top spot of the leaderboard, was eliminated after Robert E. lost his fourth duel to Emily. Sue had a total of $10,000 compared to Emily's $45,000.
  • ^Note 6 : Emily and Tammy both answered the Shootout question correctly, but Tammy was declared the winner since she selected one fewer answer.
  • ^Note 7 : Karla, who was previously in the third spot of the leaderboard, was eliminated after Ashlee won her second duel.
  • ^Note 8 : Emily, who was previously in the third spot of the leaderboard, was eliminated after Ken won his second duel.
  • ^Note 9 : Ken was tied with Julie on total winnings and with Ashlee on total duel victories after the duel was completed. Since a third place tie was not allowed, a tiebreaking duel was played between Ken and Jim to determine who would advance to the semifinals.
  • ^Note 10 : Robert E. had the most victories of any contestant (3) and the highest amount of money in his bank at $30,000 at the end of the qualifying round, and was eligible to choose one of the other three semifinalists. He chose Ken (who had a total of $15,000 at the end of the qualifying round and two victories), thus leaving Julie and Ashlee to face off against each other in the second semifinal.
  • ^Note 11 : Ashlee had $40,000 in her bank at the end of the semifinals, and won an additional $35,000 in the finals to increase her bank to $75,000. The final value of the jackpot was $1,720,000, which augmented her total winnings to $1,795,000.

Jet X2O gameplay

edit

Jet X2O has several gameplay modes:[1]

  • World Tour: The player completes a series of a predetermined number of races (which consist of six competitors per race) at all venues in order; four races are done on the Amateur difficulty, which then increases to six on Pro and eight on Expert, respectively. In order to advance to the next race, the player must accumulate enough standings points; this is determined by a combination of trick score and fastest time. After each race is completed correctly, the player is given the opportunity to increase their watercraft's attributes. Once the Amateur and Pro seasons are completed, two additional venues are unlocked. Completing the Amateur season unlocks another generic watercraft (and if necessary another character), while completing the Pro season unlocks a particular character's signature watercraft. Additional items, like watercraft decals and alternate outfits, can also be unlocked by completing this mode on Expert difficulty.
  • Single Event: The player can select any venue that is already unlocked to participate in one event. Three event types are available:
    • Combo Mode: A race between six competitors which is determined by a combination of trick score and fastest time.
    • Trick Mode: A single-competitor event where the player is allowed an initial time of two minutes to complete as many tricks as possible. Completing a series of tricks adds time to the clock; the maximum time that can be added for each trick combination is one minute. Multiplier pickups are available on some of the ramps; the total score for a series of tricks can be multiplied by 2, 3, or 5. The event ends when time runs out or the finish line is crossed, whichever comes first.
    • Race Mode: A single-competitor or dual-competitor event where the player(s) have to go through a series of booster gates.

There is also a practice mode known as Blue Wave.

The turbo meter is an important aspect of the game; performing tricks correctly and going through booster gates increases the amount of turbo that is available, while failing any tricks decreases it. Once the turbo booster reaches the "Mega" level, the player has a limited amount of time to perform any special tricks.
