My Profile in Japanese(日本語プロフィール)
Formerly a QA manager in a global translation firm and an assistant to former Senator of the National Diet of Japan, I'm currently the owner of a multi-faceted bilingual service BALÉS (Bureau d'Action pour les Étrangers) aimed at providing translations, consulting services and more to the "Étrangers" all over the world. I also represent a civil network in Japan called the Japanese Network for the International Criminal Court (JNICC) as its Secretary-General, which advocates for an independent and effective International Criminal Court (ICC). The JNICC is also part of a global coalition of non-governmental organizations and civil society networks called the CICC which advocate for the common cause.
- From May 2008 to July 2011 I served as the Executive Committee Member of World Federalist Movement of Japan(in Japanese only) which is the Japanese member organization of the international non-governmental organization WFM based in New York. From November 2008 to July 2011, I also served as the Member of the Executive Committee of World Federalist Movement.
- From July 2011 to October 2013, I served in the Steering Committee of he Japan United for Ministries of Peace (JUMP), and from October 2011 to November 2012 I served as one of the Board Members of Global Alliance for Ministries and Infrastructures for Peace (GAMIP). Currently, I am affiliated to none of the above except for JNICC in a voluntary basis. I'm an independent soul in that sense.
- From July 2013 to present, I serve as the Board Member of NGO Forum for International Solidarity Levies (FISL), a forum of NGOs and individuals that advocate for the introduction of an international solidarity tax to address global issues. The Forum is affiliated with Leading Group on Innovative Financing for Development, a 64-member multinational group established in 2006 aimed at "promoting discussions and actions about setting up innovative development financing mechanisms."
Being in such a multilateral position, my interests are focused on various aspects of international relations (IR) matters, primarily focused on providing up-to-date information on developments in Japan concerning matters related to the ICC, Human Security and general matters in foreign affairs.
English works
editIn the English Wikipedia, I currently have limited experience as my primary objective was to edit ICC articles. However, I'm starting to catch up. Here are the very few articles that I have worked on under my self-des categories.
International Criminal Court
edit- States Parties to the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court (edit only)
- Amendments to the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court (edit only)
- International Criminal Court (edit only)
- War of aggression (edit only)
- Crime of aggression (created)
Human Security
edit- Responsibility to protect (edit only)
General Foreign Affairs
edit- Omoiyari Yosan (edit, overhauled)
- Tadashi Inuzuka (edit, overhauled)
- Ichirō Ozawa (edit only)
- Article 9 of the Japanese Constitution (edit only)
Japanese works
editIn the Japanese Wikipedia, I've worked on these articles(partly bilingual).
As you can see, I have a particular interest in writing articles on UN Security Council Resolutions.
Notes
editAs can be noted above, I'm also the principal author of most of the Japanese wiki version of the ICC category entries (except for the entry on Fumiko Saiga (斎賀冨美子), the first Japanese judge to be elected to the Court.)
