User:Ealdgyth/2023 Arb Election votes

Normally I'd do a whole bunch of statistics here, but with just 10 candidates for 8 seats, I'm not going to bother. I'm going to play "tilt at windmills" here but doubt that its going to make much difference - 8 folks will be elected, even though I'm not convinced that they will do well on the committee.

Robert McClenon - Wikipedia:Arbitration Committee Elections December 2023/Candidates/Robert McClenon/Questions. I've opposed them in the past and continue to find them entirely too rule-bound and rigid for the position of arbitrator.

(as well as the rest of the answers along these lines) is a deal-breaker - there is always room for improvement and I remain concerned about transparency and a habit of hiding from the tough decisions.

On the other hand, they've not actually done anything horrific so I guess there's that?
Wugapodes Wikipedia:Arbitration Committee Elections December 2023/Candidates/Wugapodes/Questions - I'm conflicted about Wug. In some things, I've been impressed, but at other times, I've been tempted to beat my head on my desk when they do something wildly out of line (some of their conflict with VM at the Holocaust ArbCase comes to mind). In the end, I think that if they really are a grad student, it's in their best interests to not be on the committee.
Aoidh Wikipedia:Arbitration Committee Elections December 2023/Candidates/Aoidh/Questions - I've not seen enough of them in stressful conditions to have a judgement and their recent RfA timing makes me concerned they aren't ready for this role.
