Do Go Be Man is co-moderator of and frequent contributor to the discussion forums of the Christian Way web site.
Christian Way is maintained by former Christian Scientists -- former followers of Mary Baker Eddy, her religion Christian Science, and its "textbook" Science and Health. They found a personal relationship with Jesus Christ based upon the Bible and not upon its "spiritual interpretation" as presented in the CS textbook, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures. Members belong to a variety of denominations, but most hold core beliefs that are central to biblical Christianity. Christian Scientists also contribute to the discussion forums and are welcome.
After growing up in and spending more than 30 years as a Christian Scientist, including Christian Science class instruction, Do Go Be Man found Jesus Christ in the pages of God's word - the Holy Bible.
His Christian Science teacher taught during class instruction that Bible study could extend beyond the narrow limits of the Christian Science Lesson-Sermon. Studying the complete word in full context led Do Go Be Man to understand that Christian Science could only be considered valid by ignoring or redefining large portions of God's word.
Though now a "five-point Calvinist", Do Go Be Man's principle evangelical theme is to encourage Christians and non-believers to a Berean approach to Bible study as found in Acts 17:10-12:
The brothers immediately sent Paul and Silas away by night to Berea, and when they arrived they went into the Jewish synagogue. Now these Jews were more noble than those in Thessalonica; they received the word with all eagerness, examining the Scriptures daily to see if these things were so. Many of them therefore believed, with not a few Greek women of high standing as well as men. (English Standard Version - emphasis added)
