Xijiang Miao Village (西江千户苗寨), also called the Xijiang Hmu Village, Xijiang Qianhu Miao Village, and the Miao stockade village of one thousand households, is located inXijiang township, 黔Qiandongnan Miao and Dong Autonomous Prefecture, Guizhou Province. It is an important site in the Nanshan Scenic Area.[1]
Xijiang Miao Village is home to the largest, most intact, highest concentration of wooden-stilted architecture in China. It is prized for its value toward tourism and research. The author Yu Qiuyu once described the site with the quote, "Answer everything with beauty, visit Xijiang to understand the Miao villages of China."
