About me
editI am a student at Brigham Young University studying Editing and Publishing and Digital Humanities. I am always seeking to improve my writing and editing skills. I speak Spanish proficiently after serving a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Los Angeles County, California. I grew up in Alpharetta, Georgia. I am here on Wikipedia to improve the accuracy of pages - to research, edit, and write with that goal in mind.
You can read more about me on my website.
Conflict of interest statement
editI am the Lead Student Wikipedia Editor for the Harold B. Lee Library. I am employed by Brigham Young University (BYU) to facilitate factual information on Wikipedia. My boss, Rachel Helps, is the Coordinator of Wikipedia Initiatives and the library's Wikipedian-in-Residence. I am paid by the hour, not according to any specific contribution. Behind every edit I make is the intention to provide unbiased, well-sourced, accurate information for long-time Wikipedians and curious visitors alike. However, if my affiliation with the Harold B. Lee Library or BYU presents a potential COI or PAID concern for you, please let me know via my talk page.
You can find our GLAM page here.
In June 2020 I began working as a Teaching Assistant for Dr. Nancy Turley's ELANG 273 (English Language & Linguistics Research Methods) class at BYU. As a part of my job, I taught students the basics of Wikipedia and used my personal account, EternalAhsoka, to keep track of my students' edits. I developed a custom training course about Wikipedia, using PowerPoint, to use in the class.
