I studied physics and did my PhD in physics at the Leibniz Universität Hannover and the Max Planck Institute for Gravitational Physics (Albert Einstein Institute) in Hannover, Germany in 2011. My thesis deals with “Pulsar discoveries by volunteer distributed computing and the strongest continuous gravitational wave signal”.
After my PhD I worked as a researcher at the Max Planck Institute for Gravitational Physics (Albert Einstein Institute) on radio pulsar searches with the distributed volunteer computing project Einstein@Home and also part-time in press and outreach for the institute. Since August 2015, I am working full time as the press and outreach officer for the Max Planck Institute for Gravitational Physics (Albert Einstein Institute) in Hannover. I am also a member of the LIGO Scientific Collaboration and active in its Education and Public Outreach Committee.
I will try to make all contributions in encyclopedic style. I am aware that conflicts of interest might arise when editing page related to my institute, and will try to keep an WP:NPOV. If in doubt, please contact me about this.
