On October 12, 2018, Disney Channel announced that it had ordered a pilot for The A Girl, an autism-themed single-camera comedy series from creator Brenda Hampton (7th Heaven, The Secret Life of the American Teenager). Steven K. Tsuchida will direct the series.^[1]
