Stuff Alan's Done
edit- Violet (computer game) - As of this edit it's all my work.
- Lost Pig - As of this edit, it's all my work.
- T. John Ward - As of this edit, it's all my work. I've continued some more work, and I believe I wrote the lion's share of the content.
- Chronotron - As of this edit, it's all my work.

Alan's Junk Drawer
editEverything from this point forward is pretty much just notes and useful links I use myself; you probably have more interesting things to look at. Of course, feel free to post on my talk page.

edit- [1] Infocom sales numbers; add to Infocom game articles
- User:Alan De Smet/Drafts/
- Talk:Geek.Kon - Integrate citations.
- Bad license:Image:Tbpickens.jpg
- User_talk:Howcheng#Image:Tbpickens.jpg - Added OTRS info

- Wikipedia:Deletion_review - All were deleted for CSD#A7, not claiming notability. I believe the decision was wrong, that the groups are notable and in most cases expressed their notable aspects, they just failed to emphasize that the aspect is notable. Either way, there is case for undeletion if the article can be improved with the old version.
- Fools and Heroes - 1985, very early and still around.
- LARPA - Another toughie. Major east coast LARPing organization, but very tight knit.
- Maelstrom (live role playing game) - Size? 900 players?
- One World By Night
- Red Button Productions - Probably doomed.
- Rendezvous (live role-playing group) - Probably doomed.

editOn advertising
editI'm not a big fan of advertising, but Wikipedia would strongly benefit from more revenue. Advertising would solve the problem almost instantly. So long as the advertisements are automated, devoid of human intervention, (as Google's ads are) there should be no risk advertising harming the editorial content.
