Adrian Watts lives in Penryn in Cornwall, having been born in Somerset and brought up in Devon. He went to school in Barnstaple, and then to the University of Manchester where he took a degree in Town and Country Planning, graduating in 1975. His very varied career then took him into and out of the planning profession in local government in Aberdeen, Scotland, and he briefly worked as an environmental campaigner for Friends of the Earth (Scotland) in Edinburgh. After marrying he moved back to England, fathered two daughters, got divorced, and worked in various jobs in the voluntary and private sectors, in the East Midlands, London, Oxfordshire and Plymouth. He remarried in 1994, and moved with his current wife Christine to Cornwall at the turn of the Millennium. Currently he works part time as an adult education tutor, and is able to enjoy the privelige of living in Penryn to the full.
