Dr. Uday Narkar is an Indian communist politician, playwright and author. Currently he is the secretary of the Maharashtra unit of Communist Party of India (Marxist).[1][2] He formerly served as the secretary of Kolhapur district committee of CPI(M).[3] He is also the Editor of the CPI(M) Maharashtra state weekly Jeevan Marg.

Notable works and career

He is the translator of several books from English to Marathi and vice-versa. He was a faculty member in Yashwantrao Chavan College, Kolhapur for 16 years and was a senior producer in ETV-Marathi for 4 years.[4]
