This topic might need further discussions. For example, data-oriented programming language is now often known as data centric. Erikuma (talk) 19:11, 20 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Templates Merging

edit

I think the content of those templates Template:Computer language, Template:Programming language generations, Template:Programming languages and Template:Types of programming languages (this template) should be merged into one template dealing with programming languages in a general point of view. I think the way the navigation bars on the article Programming paradigm looks quite not organized. Galzigler (talk) 19:31, 15 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

Classification?

edit

This classification is quite absurd. Looks like Celestial_Emporium_of_Benevolent_Knowledge. May be this template divided to multiple templates so we don't compare Compiled languages to Off-side rule languages to Very high level languages? 87.252.238.115 (talk) 13:04, 23 August 2013 (UTC)Reply

Remove paradigms?

edit

I made Template:Programming paradigms navbox, and replaced Template:Programming paradigms with it. As I was doing that, I noticed a lot of the paradigm pages have this template as well. But IMO the list of paradigms in this template is not as nice and the other stuff is not relevant for most pages, e.g. Functional programming. What does everyone think about removing the paradigms from this template and limiting it to level/generation? This would make it a much smaller template but I think it would still be useful for those pages. Mathnerd314159 (talk) 00:32, 2 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
