This template is intended to only include recognized institutional accreditors in the U.S. The U.S. Department of Education maintains a list of these organizations and that is the primary source for this information. Editors who want to add other organizations or use additional/different sources should open a discussion here first. ElKevbo (talk) 16:14, 27 May 2021 (UTC)Reply
Have I stumbled on a large problem part of a sub-problem part of a sub-problem part of a sub-problem? Unless the contents of this template can be verified, I think it should be deleted. Wondering what I should propose for deletion, or how to get more (experienced/specialized) eyes on this. RudolfoMD (talk) 03:18, 20 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
Yeah, ACICS had a long, drawn out death as the Trump administration dragged their heels on stripping its authority to accredit institutions. I don't know if anyone has yet systematically gone through all of the articles about institutions that were previously accredited by ACICS to ensure they're up-to-date. My recollection is that nearly all of them transitioned to a different accreditor so if you're going to attempt this you'll need to be careful and thorough - you can't just assume that an institution that was previously accredited by ACICS is now unaccredited. A lot of them have shut down. I'm not assuming. You're right about CBT, but the COE makes it hard to cite. I can't find a static page confirming the status. Still verifiable though. Thanks again.
