Note: Per consensus and convention, most route-map templates are used in a single article in order to separate their complex and fragile syntax from normal article wikitext. See these discussions [1],[2] for more information. This map depicts the fourth phase of the reconstruction of the station, which took place in 2017.
During this phase (which began on September 26, 2016) the new Track 2 was placed in service. Northbound Red Line trains were routed onto Track 2 from Track 3 south of Wilson (using this track in the opposite direction of its eventual direction) and began using the new southbound platform. The old platform (between the original Track 2 and Track 3) was removed from service. Northbound Purple Line Express trains continued to use Track 4 (the eastern-most track).
The remaining structure supporting the old Track 2 and the old platform were demolished allowing for the construction of the new elevated structure for Track 3 and the new northbound platform.
