Usage

edit

Use this tag when a portion of text in a Wikipedia article does not adequately specify "for whom" a particular thing applies. First use of this tag was in the article on decomposition which stated (on July 23, 2017) that, "Shortly after death, within three to six hours, the muscular tissues become rigid..." This is not true for deep sea dwelling molluscs, or for spiders, or for most bacteria, and should not have been written so broadly as though only mammals (or only humans) were relevant. Editors are encouraged to rewrite this portion of text so that it accurately reflects "for whom" the particular attribute applies.
