William Paynel
edit- ... that William Paynel supported Matilda's claim to the throne, despite her husband Geoffrey of Anjou having previously attacking William's castle?
- ALT1:... that William Paynel lost control of Nottingham Castle while on a visit to the Empress Matilda?

- Comment: Wikicup nom. Alternative hook suggestions welcomed.

- Article - Created on 23rd as stated. Prose = 2950 characters. Meets core policies and guidelines. Citations offline but accepted in good faith. Hook - Initial suggestion more interesting in my opinion but should it not be, "... that William Paynel supported Matilda's claim to the throne, despite her husband Geoffrey of Anjou having previously attacked William's castle"? Where is the citation for this by the way? Is this referenced on p.179 of King's book? Also you need to review a nomination to qualify. QPQ! --Ykraps (talk) 16:49, 28 January 2014 (UTC)
- I'm fine with that suggested hook. I've duplicated the citation for the supporter bit (it was indeed covered by the following citation, but I've given up fighting this silliness.) Uh. I did review. See that lovely field that says "reviewed"? It has Template:Did you know nominations/Magnificat (Schütz) in it. Ealdgyth - Talk 17:15, 28 January 2014 (UTC)
