Renee Powell
edit- ... that Renee Powell was the first female golfer to compete in a British men's tournament? Source: "she was the first woman PGA Member in the country to compete in an event from the men's tees" ([1])
- ALT1:... that as the only black female professional golfer in the 1970s, Renee Powell styled herself the "lone ranger"? Source: "Lone ranger who is never alone ... as the only black girl playing full time on the on the LGPA tour ... who used cheerfully to dub herself 'The Lone Ranger'" ([2])

- Does not meet newness policy: Article is not new enough, has not had its prose expanded at least 5x, was not completely unreferenced before expansion, and has not been promoted to GA. Ergo Sum 20:31, 25 September 2018 (UTC)
- This was discussed at Wikipedia talk:Did you know#Renee Powell where consensus was it had been expanded five times since the point we started work on it. Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 22:38, 25 September 2018 (UTC)

Overall: Thank you for directing my attention to that discussion. Per Earwig's Copyvio Detector, the article has a 40% possibility of copyright violation. Upon comparison, the article copies several phrases verbatim from two websites. Those should be rephrased to reduce the potential for a copyright violation. Ergo Sum 23:17, 25 September 2018 (UTC)
- It's gone midnight here and I'm off to bed, Megalibrarygirl, can you look into this? Otherwise I will have a look in the morning. Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 23:24, 25 September 2018 (UTC)
- I'll take a look, Ritchie333. I suspect some of the stuff might be copies of lists of accomplishments, etc. But I'll see. Megalibrarygirl (talk) 03:58, 26 September 2018 (UTC)
- Ok. I fixed the really problematic stuff. The rest of the items that match are phrases like "Golf Hall of Fame," "Second African-American," etc. I think it's at an acceptable level, but let me know! Megalibrarygirl (talk) 04:15, 26 September 2018 (UTC)
- Report comes back as 29.1% violation unlikely and the only things left are job titles, quotations and other proper nouns that cannot be written any other way. @Ergo Sum: What say you? Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 09:14, 26 September 2018 (UTC)
