Glen Muirhead, Thomas Muirhead (curler)
edit( Back to T:TDYK )
( Article history links: )
... that siblings Glen, Thomas and Eve Muirhead are all competing in curling for Great Britain at the 2018 Winter Olympics?
- Reviewed: Good Night Stories for Rebel Girls & Guardia Lomabrdi
- Comment: Winter Olympics curling event is 14-20 February. Could we hold this hook for one of those dates?
I'm also aware I need to do 2 QPQs, there isn't currently any DYKs that need checking- I'll do 2nd one when there is.

- Starting to review. Zeete (talk) 12:35, 29 December 2017 (UTC)
- Glen: New, long enough per DYK check, over 1,600 length; cited, interesting note a; neutral bio; Earwig reports violation unlikely, 5.7%; hook interesting; QPQ done. Zeete (talk) 12:53, 29 December 2017 (UTC)
- Thomas: New, long enough per DYK check, over 1,900 length; cited; neutral bio; Earwig reports violation unlikely, 4.8%; Zeete (talk) 13:03, 29 December 2017 (UTC)
- Good to go for the Winter Olympics curling event from 14-20 February. Thanks, Zeete (talk) 12:37, 30 December 2017 (UTC)
- Per Rule A5, copied text in articles less than 7 days old only count toward the 1500-character limit in one of the articles. 265 characters have been copied to Glen Muirhead from Thomas Muirhead (curler). Thomas Muirhead (curler) currently has 1917 characters, but Glen Muirhead has 1606, minus 265 = 1314 char. More needs to be added to Glen Muirhead to bring it up to the minimum 1500-character length. Yoninah (talk) 17:41, 10 February 2018 (UTC)
- But if you count it the other way, Glen Muirhead has 1606 characters and Thomas Muirhead (curler) has 1917 - 265 = 1652. So they are both above 1500 characters of content. Joseph2302 (talk) 18:55, 10 February 2018 (UTC)
- But Thomas Muirhead (curler) was created first and the history says the material was copied from him. Yoninah (talk) 21:25, 10 February 2018 (UTC)

- Yoninah is correct - Glen's article is not eligible, it doesn't have near enough original content. It appears that the amount of material duplicated between the two has been underestimated, such that even if the copying went the other way, there would be an ineligible article. Nikkimaria (talk) 14:08, 11 February 2018 (UTC)
- Well Thomas Muirhead (curler) is clearly eligible, so just run the hook without the bolding on the link to Glen Muirhead. Joseph2302 (talk) 14:27, 11 February 2018 (UTC)

- NOTE: This one has already been copied (rather than moved?) to be used during the Winter Olympics. David notMD (talk) 15:08, 11 February 2018 (UTC)
- Restoring tick for Thomas Muirhead (curler) only per Zeete's review. I adjusted the DYK credits. Moving this back to Special Occasion holding area. Yoninah (talk) 16:09, 11 February 2018 (UTC)
