General: Article is new enough and long enough |

Policy compliance:
- Adequate sourcing:
- Neutral:
- Free of copyright violations, plagiarism, and close paraphrasing:
- Other problems: - It should be clarified that the general election was for the upcoming term rather than the special election filling Conyers' existing term. Took a bit to process this on first read.
Hook: Hook has been verified by provided inline citation |

QPQ: - Not done
Overall: Waiting on the QPQ and some prose refinement as suggested above. I expect the hooks will need to be updated soon, as well. SounderBruce 03:23, 13 November 2018 (UTC)
- @SounderBruce: - I attempted to refine the prose around that issue you raised, is it a little better? Connormah (talk) 05:01, 13 November 2018 (UTC)
- Looks much better. There's an unreferenced sentence at the end of that paragraph that needs to be resolved before I can approve this. SounderBruce 05:27, 13 November 2018 (UTC)
- Update. While some members filling unexpired terms (Mary Gay Scanlon for instance) were sworn in today, Jones was not, and may not be sworn in until after Thanksgiving. Seems she's planning on going through with concurrent service in the U.S. House and Detroit City Council. – Muboshgu (talk) 00:01, 14 November 2018 (UTC)
- @SounderBruce: - I just added an extra cite for that last sentence. Connormah (talk) 22:48, 14 November 2018 (UTC)
