Alexander Mackay (British Army officer)
edit- ... that Colonel Alexander Mackay, was appointed commander of British forces in Boston, Massachusetts in Summer 1768 but did not arrive until April 1769 and stayed for just five months?
ALT1:... that Captain Alexander Mackay, who later rose to command all British forces in Scotland was captured by the Jacobites at the Battle of Prestonpans?- Reviewed: Template:Did you know nominations/Herbert S. Sears

- This article is new enough and long enough. The original hook has an inline citation while ALT1 is less satisfactory because of the Scotland/North Britain confusion. QPQ has been done and I saw no evidence of close paraphrasing or other policy issues. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 18:16, 1 July 2014 (UTC)
