Article length and age are fine, no copyvio or plagiarism concerns, reliable sources are used, the hook is sourced. I'd suggest a slight rewording for better flow: that Akmol (pictured) in Kazakhstan was notorious during the Stalin era for its "Labour camp...", or ... notorious for its Stalin-era "Labour camp...".
