Someone told me it was because of the shape of the letter that it acquired this slang meaning. Presumably the handwritten form was meant. But perhaps it just could simply be another example of a word meaning "weapon" turning into a slang term for penis. —Soap— 12:31, 27 July 2015 (UTC)
- I heard it's some kind of a euphemistic abbreviation of זרג (zereg). Cf. also khĕr (the OCS name of the letter Х) becoming a euphemism for khuy, as well as effing for fucking. Determinant666 (talk) 12:37, 23 January 2022 (UTC)
