Excessive citations tag
edit@Lettherebedarklight: I noticed you tagged the article for having excessive citations. However, I can't see anywhere where the article cites more sources than necessary. Could you please explain your rationale for adding the tag? Link20XX (talk) 22:42, 27 March 2022 (UTC)
- Agree, I also think the article has a fair share of citations. At first, it was nominated for deletion, apparently, for lack of notability and now is tagged for excessive amount of citations without too many changes between both cases, so I don't understand what is the criteria. - Xexerss (talk) 23:31, 27 March 2022 (UTC)
- I removed the tag for that exact reason but I was reverted without any explanation.Tintor2 (talk) 00:57, 28 March 2022 (UTC)
- @Link20XX, @Xexerss, @Tintor2: the point of my afd was that the sources used were unreliable and that the article was ref-bombed to create a sense of false notability. i did not realize that Wikipedia:ANIME/RS was a thing at the time, sorry for that. i just thought that the sources looked unreliable, definitely a bad call on my part. yet, still, scroll down, and at least 25% of the sources are essentially just amazon links to buy the anime/manga. 晚安 (トークページ) 07:44, 30 March 2022 (UTC)
- For older series, Amazon is often the only source for release dates. WP:AMAZON does state that "This website is usually used for past or upcoming media release dates", however, so I can't see how this is a big problem. Link20XX (talk) 13:57, 30 March 2022 (UTC)
- Amazon links are not harmful if they're cited just to support basic facts like release dates and such, and in fact they're not really used in most part of the article. Xexerss (talk) 19:12, 30 March 2022 (UTC)
- I've been told not to use Amazon in a past GA review but sadly the publisher's official websites tend to go down while the Funimation one is innacessible for my region. Other than that, every source used in reception counts as a wp:reliable sources based on the guidelines.Tintor2 (talk) 22:49, 30 March 2022 (UTC)

- Not entirely necessary, but I changed the Amazon links, so you should not have some particular problem with the article now, I suppose. - Xexerss (talk) 01:18, 31 March 2022 (UTC)
- screw it, i'll just leave the article alone from now on. 晚安 (トークページ) 05:01, 2 April 2022 (UTC)
