Talk:WrestleMania 2000

Title

edit

Seeing as how other WrestleMania articles are titled according to the name and style promoted by WWF/E that year (WrestleMania X-Seven, WrestleMania X8, etc), shouldn't this article be titled WrestleMania 2000? Jeff Silvers 19:50, 29 December 2005 (UTC)Reply

Agreed. In fact, I'm going to propose a move right now for this article. --Oakster 17:20, 14 January 2006 (UTC)Reply

Requested move

edit

WrestleMania XVI → WrestleMania 2000 – More commonly refered to as WrestleMania 2000 rather than WrestleMania XVI. Redirect at WrestleMania 2000 has page history preventing simple renaming.

Tag Line

edit

I believe that the tag line for Wrestlemania 2000 was "A McMahon In Every Corner" but am unable to verify this, can anyone check this out? Sparkyboi 23:20, 12 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

I have the original DVD (pre-WWE). It is in fact "A McMahon in every corner!" AndarielHalo 23:45, 23 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

TLC match?

edit

I know that the WWF Tag Team title match was a ladder match. But if you look at the "Mania Madness" section at WM23 page, they label this match as a TLC match. This match was considered as a precedent of the TLC match, I know. But wasn't this an interesting fact? Xbox6 17:28, 14 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

It wasn't a TLC match though, and wwe.com's results page for WM 2000 just calls it a ladder match as well: [1]. TJ Spyke 22:23, 14 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Two Fall Triple Threat Match

edit

Does it count as two losses for Angle and one win and a loss for Benmoit or because it was in the context of one match does it only count as one loss apeice for each??? KE

It was 1 match that was 2 falls long (like how a 2/3 falls match is still 1 match). As for how it counts on the win/loss record, i'm not sure. I count it as a loss for Angle and a win for both Jericho and Benoit (regarding the PPV Win% I maintain), but it's not official. You could try asking WWE, but they never reply to e-mails. Fair use rationale for Image:WM2000hhh.jpg

Image:WM2000hhh.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Opening song

edit

I just watched WrestleMania 2000. Lilan Garcia sang Star Spangled Banner at the opening of this event. She did not sing America the Beautiful. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.150.175.250 (talk) 00:20, 7 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

Changed Stinky Face to Stink Face

edit

In the description of the Tag match between Kane and Rikishi vs Xpac and road dogg the article said Rikishi performed the "Stinky Face" instead of "Stink Face" as the move was called. The move is referenced correctly later in the article so I'm not sure why it was stinky before Heddingite (talk) 23:09, 22 January 2024 (UTC)Reply

Some of the match descriptions are WILDLY off

edit

I just watched the DX vs Rikishi and Kane match back and the article cites that Rikishi Stink faced Road Dogg, then tori (which didn't happen yet, she got it later in the match) then Rikishi hit a Diamond Cutter (When? Where?) followed by Kane hitting a Tombstone for the win. Yes Kane won by tombstone but there was no mention of DX attempting to leave the match nor was a cutter involved! Now I want to go through the whole show and this article because that was no where near what happened and I wonder what other liberties are in here! Heddingite (talk) 23:53, 22 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
