Improvements planned

edit

Essentially to further improve this, the Solomon Sea Plate and the Woodlark Basin article we will need to have an article on the proposed Trobriand Plate. So far I have bottomed out that the data to justify this microplate was from 2003 to 2004 onwards and there are independent academic schools that show just how wrong Birds 2003 model was for this part of world that has got locked into the basic tectonic modelling software so useful for other work. Part of the issue in understanding this is firewalls but this will be good source: Cameron, Milo Louis (2014). Rifting and subduction in the Papuan Peninsula, Papua New Guinea: The significance of the Trobriand Trough, the Nubara strike-slip fault, and the Woodlark rift to the present configuration of Papua New Guinea (Thesis).
