I would contend the statement that a winning streak must have a minimum of two games. In any conventional sports standings, the streak column includes winning (and losing) streaks of one game, and the notion is not unheard of in sports discussion.Glork00 (talk) 01:16, 20 August 2009 (UTC)

Patriots

The Pats' winning streak, according to the NFL, is 19 games, and is still active. I have corrected the page to reflect that fact. Samer (talk) 13:07, 4 August 2008 (UTC)

Wrestling

can we remove Bill Goldberg's "record"???? it isn't a competitive endeavour in that sense. Vince McMahon could read this article tomorrow and "manufacture" a longer streak... —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.171.86.117 (talk) 07:00, 29 December 2009 (UTC)

Does a "No Contest" end a winning streak?

Does a "No Contest", in boxing or MMA, end a winning streak? In the introduction, it is explained why a tie ends a winning streak. But a "No Contest" is not a tie and has no effect on a fighter's standing within the sport. So it's almost as if the fight never happened. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Stevanchez (talkcontribs) 02:58, 18 September 2010 (UTC)

The Undertaker Streak

I know, is show, but still is remarkable, i think it should be noted in the article, I mean.... 19 - 0!!!!!!. Zidane tribal (talk) 05:16, 21 April 2011 (UTC)

Novak Djokovic Streak

I'm getting tired of undoing edits to this. Two of Djokovic streak's matches were in the 2010 Davis Cup final, hence he has a streak of 42 matches but he's only 40-0 in 2011. Can't we lock this somehow? Aerthis (talk) 15:35, 29 May 2011 (UTC)

No mention of gambling

The description in the disambiguation for this page and for "Streak" say it is a term used for a series of consecutive wins in sport or gambling, but there is no mention of gambling in the article. Can this be fixed one way or the other, by removing the mention of gambling, or adding a section for it? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 144.137.205.25 (talk) 09:43, 27 April 2012 (UTC)

Joe DiMaggio Hitting Streak

Why is this streak included on this page? This page is for winning streaks, not hitting streaks. I believe it should be removed from this page. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.44.119.47 (talk) 22:48, 28 July 2013 (UTC)

Wrestling

I cannot find a section on wrestling, specifically, amateur (high school, college, Olympic, etc.). I did see a section in "Talk" about professional wrestling, but could not even find that one in the text. Could someone please add a section on wrestling? 98.194.197.22 (talk) 13:50, 5 December 2014 (UTC)jhartley

It's there, under "combat sports", sections 10.4 and 10.5. Afasmit (talk) 19:05, 5 December 2014 (UTC)

Strip out unreferenced claims

This article has a huge number of unreferenced claims. It's also very long. I propose that we simply strip out all claims that do not have a reference. Any that people have a reference for can be added back. DJ Clayworth (talk) 14:18, 17 June 2017 (UTC)
