Progress?
editI see this was marked for deletion in 2011 but kept, and no ones made any edits on it for over a decade. I only got here by pressing random article. Searching google and news and books doesn't turn up anything of note, so I'm hard pressed to see why this should remain? — Preceding unsigned comment added by HashBit782 (talk • contribs) 16:17, 1 July 2023 (UTC)
- WP:A7 does not apply to a village. The article was nominated for deletion at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Willows Bank. The nominator withdrew their nomination, that is why the article is still here. ~ GB fan 10:31, 21 August 2023 (UTC)
- ~ GB fan Thanks for the quick response. I reviewed the discussion at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Willows Bank but the original nominatr withdrew based on Wikipedia:Notability (geographic features). However, the guideline concludes that a place must be notable on its own merits and this place does not seem to be. It simply existing does not seem to me to be a correct interpretation of the policy. Do you read it differently? The previous nomination was over ten years ago and nothing on the page has changed. I'd like to nominate it for deletion again. HashBit782 (talk) 08:18, 22 August 2023 (UTC)
- ~ GB fan and I do see why you are correct about WP:A7, it explicitly specifices its applicability and places is not one of them HashBit782 (talk) 08:21, 22 August 2023 (UTC)
