Update request

edit

On behalf of Wheely, I'd like to propose an update to the "Business model" section, which says: "All chauffeurs are required to successfully graduate from Wheely's three-day Academy, which covers service standards, etiquette, discretion, and first aid. Wheely requires chauffeurs to use specific luxury vehicles that are no more than three years old."

This article published by Business Insider confirms that the Academy is located in Syon Park and that chauffeurs "have to sign NDAs to protect their passengers' privacy". Therefore, I propose updating the aforementioned language to the following (changes bolded for emphasis):

  • "All chauffeurs are required to successfully graduate from Wheely's three-day Academy in Syon Park, which covers service standards, etiquette, discretion, and first aid. Wheely requires chauffeurs to use specific luxury vehicles that are no more than three years old, and to sign non-disclosure agreements to protect the privacy of passengers."

@InfiniteNexus: You've assisted with several requests above. Might you be interested in reviewing this request as well? Thanks, Inkian Jason (talk) 15:03, 27 September 2023 (UTC)Reply

Dubai update

edit

On behalf of Wheely, I'd like to propose updates to the introduction and History section to note the company's launch in Dubai. More specifically, I propose changing "In 2021, Wheely announced plans to expand into Dubai" to "Wheely launched in Dubai in 2024." in the introduction. In the History section, after the current text "Seeking to expand into the Middle East, Wheely applied for an e-hailing license in Dubai in 2021", I propose adding: "The company launched in Dubai in February 2024.[1]"

I see this as a non-controversial update, but I avoid editing the main space because of my conflict of interest. I invite others to review this request and update the article on my behalf. @InfiniteNexus: Might you be interested in reviewing this request, as you have before?

Revert request

edit

These changes were made to the entry by an unregistered editor. The edits change sourced details and make the introduction inaccurate, as Wheely is not "a Russian/Swiss-founded" company just because "The founder, Anton Chirkunov had Swiss and Russian dual nationality" (as this edit summary suggests). Wheely launched in Zurich and is based in London. The company operating in Russia does not make it Russian-founded. @InfiniteNexus: Might you be willing to review this request and revert recent changes? As a reminder, I am submitting this edit request on behalf of Wheely as part of my work at Beutler Ink. Thanks! Inkian Jason (talk) 19:11, 20 March 2024 (UTC)Reply

Update request

edit

Hi again! The Business model section says: "Wheely requires chauffeurs to use specific luxury vehicles that are no more than three years old, and to sign non-disclosure agreements to protect the privacy of passengers." I'd like to suggest a minor edit to update this text.

The Business Insider source already used as an inline citation at the end of the sentence (published in 2023), says: "The chauffeurs have to sign NDAs to protect their passengers' privacy, and they can only drive Mercedes E, S, or V-Class which are never more than 4-years-old."

I propose removing the inline citation used mid-sentence ("<ref name="Millington" />"), and changing "three years old" to "four years old", in order to make the sentence more accurate and up to date. @InfiniteNexus: Is this a request you'd be willing to assist with, given your prior help above?

Correction request

edit

Hello again! I would like to submit an edit request to correct the following sentence, which is inaccurate:

  • Wheely's website offers a page "debunking" official arguments for why the data should have been handed over.

The word "not" is missing. The sentence should read:

  • Wheely's website offers a page "debunking" official arguments for why the data should not have been handed over.

@Psiĥedelisto: I believe you added this sentence back in June 2022, so I want to put this request on your radar and give you an opportunity to reply or make an appropriate update, if you'd like. Also letting User:InfiniteNexus know based on their previous willingness to reply to edit requests. Thank you, both! Inkian Jason (talk) 19:32, 10 May 2024 (UTC)Reply

Not done: Are you sure? It seems the sentence is saying that Wheely's website is debunking arguments made by the Russian government that Wheely should have handed its customers' data to them. InfiniteNexus (talk) 18:42, 13 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
Hi @InfiniteNexus, agree, this was not the correct request.
Please would you consider editing it instead to:
Wheely's website includes a page that "debunks" the rationale provided by Moscow’s Department of Transportation for requesting the data.
Rationale:
This change will improve the clarity and neutrality of the article while maintaining factual accuracy. Specifying "the rationale provided by [authority]" rather than "official arguments" ensures accuracy by attributing the arguments to the correct source.
The word "includes" is more neutral compared to "offers," reducing any perceived promotional tone.
Thanks for your consideration. Extra.writer2024 (talk) 17:23, 7 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
