Paul converting to Judaism, etc.?
editCan anyone provide a citation for Paul converting to Judaism? Sounds very strange. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 89.139.215.219 (talk • contribs)

- I'm just going to remove that now. It is highly dubious. He probably would not maintain the support of many of his subjects, and of special importance the bishops, if he had actually abandoned the Christian faith. Besides, Julian of Toledo says nothing about it, which is very surprising considering Julian's vehemently anti-Paul writing. The Behnam 02:46, 27 September 2007 (UTC) Much of this article would appear to be a candidate for the "Legend" section. It has the same text as the article on "Flavius Paulus" formerly had, minus the supposed conversion removed by The Behnam 5 years ago. So the objections are the same: Lots of colorful detail unsupported by any contemporary source.--Isidorpax (talk) 23:05, 14 August 2012 (UTC) Should be cleaner now--Isidorpax (talk) 19:13, 17 August 2012 (UTC)
Pronunciation
editHow is Wamba pronounced? I mean in modern English, of course. Thanks. Paperoga3 (talk) 00:29, 15 June 2012 (UTC)
Hi, I dont know how Wamba is pronounced in english, but I can tell you that the w letter is pronounced as a w in german (more like a b) when you read it in spanish. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 87.222.104.244 (talk) 21:56, 13 July 2012 (UTC)
Elvira
editAnother tale connecting Wamba with a stick or staff growing into a tree is "Elvira, the Sainted Princess." In this tale, Wamba is wise but merciless; his daughter, Elvira, who is a secret Christian, feeds the prisoners in Wamba's dungeon, leading to Wamba to condemn her to death by fire. After an intercession, Wamba says only if his royal staff grows will he not kill her. It does, and he becomes a Christian, apparently having been a Muslim (sic) before that. 37.99.43.80 (talk) 15:32, 3 January 2018 (UTC)
