Major Researchers in VIV

This list of major researchers in VIV seems to be out of balance, considering the whole structure of the article. Although several of the named researchers are very renowned—and for a long time—on the subject, it is difficult to establish who is and who is not important enough to include in such an (arbitrary, to some extend) list. See e.g. WP:Lists#Listed_items and WP:NOT#DIR.
At the same time references are lacking (see WP:Verifiability). Therefore, I propose to remove this list, and add a section "Further reading" (see MOS:APPENDIX) with references to books and key articles regarding the subject. -- Crowsnest (talk) 21:33, 8 February 2009 (UTC)
