Hi my name is nicolas bourdon, I just wanted to submit you this other factor favoring thrombus:

atherosclerosis
prolonged immobilization, varicose veins, extrinsic compression of the vein, heart failure, atrial fibrillation (in this case the blood pools in the atria) ...
thrombophilie (antithrombine, protein C, protein S), antiphospholipides syndroms.
some contracpetiv pills

Each factor would be favoring one of the virchow triade category.
