editI LOVE this song so much. I have like four different versions of it. --Speedway 23:09, 15 February 2006 (UTC)
Bias
editThis page is SOOO biased it's shocking. (unsigned comment by User:195.93.21.103)
- I agree. It should be deleted immeadiately. (unsigned comment by User:68.100.113.190)
- I agree too. Particularly the section "The Song". I will try to delete the biased parts. --CygnusPius 18:18, 14 June 2006 (UTC)
- Go ahead CygnusPius, I would do if I was english. Please someone modify the "The name of the song probably refers to unfinished symphonies.", I agree with that but it's only a guessing. Trufetes (talk) 21:59, 25 November 2007 (UTC)
Sources
editThis looks like it needs a few more sources, especially on the chart listings. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 86.18.60.87 (talk) 10:27, 9 December 2006 (UTC).
Hello many thanks for the effort. Also, this tune was chosen the #1 club tune of all-time in DJ Magazine, 1998 as voted by DJ's and the readers of the magazine. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mMNuy09omWQ& The issue was "no12/vol2 11-24 apr 98"
Again, cheers for the effort! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.27.77.207 (talk) 01:13, 25 August 2011 (UTC)
Quote
editThe quote from the song is wrong I fear. I listened three times and it ever says "I know that I'been mad in love before", instead of "I know that I imagined love before" (what is more meaningless too, I think). User:Gubbubu. 89.133.8.58 09:32, 25 June 2007 (UTC)
Quote has been corrected. The entire quote now matches what you find in well-regarded lyrics sites (and what you hear on the track!). Centrepull (talk) 09:27, 15 February 2008 (UTC)
- Either that, or we're all deaf... It's been changed back, so I've corrected it again. GregorB (talk) 21:36, 30 June 2008 (UTC)
- Incidentally, I always thought the vocal snippet sample on the rhythm track (from Mahavishnu Orchestra) ran "hey baby, he-ey!" - with the plaintive melancholy of the song that (mis)reading seems very fitting. 83.254.154.164 (talk) 05:18, 21 November 2014 (UTC)
Unfinished Symphony?
editAdded a sentence on the popular mistaken title fort this track. This has been true since the track became popular in 1991 - even radio djs sometimes call it Unfinished Symphony. I remembered because BBC R4 interviewer announced the track in this way on the 'Today' show at approx 8.00am, before interviewing a MA band member, and the interviewee (forget which member) didn't bother to correct him. I did a disambiguation note from Unfinished Symphony too. Centrepull (talk) 09:39, 15 February 2008 (UTC)
I think it's also more than worth noting that the band came up with this title as a spin-off to Schubert's brilliant work, "Unfinished Symphony". While no samples of the work are featured in the track, it is a glaring omission not to leave any credit for the master on this page. 98.234.116.213 (talk) 10:42, 6 November 2008 (UTC)
The Photo is from the video for "safe from harm" not "unfinished sympathy". —Preceding unsigned comment added by 145.253.3.245 (talk) 13:34, 1 July 2009 (UTC)
Music Video
editThe article states that the music video for Unfinished Sympathy was directed by Baillie Walsh, but multiple sources list David Lynch as being the director: http://www.thecityofabsurdity.com/bio2.html http://www.filmreference.com/film/43/David-Lynch.html If that is true, clarification is needed on what role each had, if any. Citation needed
editI wrote most of the original article, and now see it has been peppered with "citation needed". Seriously guys, I write stuff in wikipedia that's accurate. Nearly all of the lists are referenced here at http://www.rocklistmusic.co.uk/ [[1]], you just need to look through to the relevant publications. I've added in most of the citations, someone else can finish the rest. --Confusedmiked (talk) 23:58, 25 February 2011 (UTC)

video flow
editAlways thought -and still do- that the tall guy who appears by 0:44 then leads a small boy by the hand is Daddy G. Then it's 3D and, finally, Mushroom.
So it's not only 3D and then Daddy G the band members who score in the video. Why would they leave Mushroom out when everybody else is included? MOUNTOLIVE fedeli alla linea 10:36, 27 April 2016 (UTC)
Tina Turner version
editWhy does the article not mention that Tina recorded a cover of the song for her 1996 studio album Wildest Dreams? MCMCTT (talk) 05:03, 13 May 2023 (UTC)
