I would like to confirm that USS Pickerel was renamed It.N.S Primo Longobardo after the re-commissioning ceremony at Charleston.
I was the first Italian C.O. of the Pickerel and was also ComGrupSom III, i.e. commanded the group Pickerel and Volador (It.N.S. Gazzana Priaroggia).
