Sanctuary slicker marketing ? Above all better (audio) quality for the money!
Sub labels
editI'm a bit puzzled at the sub-labels list. A lot of these labels were formed and owned by others. I know that there were complaints about Trojan most notably by Bunny Lee (Peter I Interview) that some of the licensing issues were confusing and that Trojan may have encroached on other labels' rights and ownership.
I'm not laying blame here just pointing out that Gayfeet and other labels were part of the Federal Studio operation in Jamaica - licensing material maybe but the article does give the impression these are all imprints of the Trojan label.
Sorry Trojan but Bunny Lee made the claim not me and he was talking about decades ago.
Bankruptcy
editDidn't Trojan declare bankruptcy in the 1970s? Nicmart (talk) 07:06, 16 February 2015 (UTC)
- It reportedly went bankrupt in 1975. There are plenty of good sources that could give a fuller story if editors wish to include them. Ghmyrtle (talk) 09:06, 16 February 2015 (UTC)
