editI have never heard of the term Train of Many Colors having been a railfan in NYC most of my life, I think this is a personal designation rather than an official one. Any comments on this? Rob110178 17:25, 17 September 2005 (UTC)
- See discussion at: Category talk:New York City Subway passenger equipment

- I've never heard of it before either, but here's an MTA reference. [1]--Pharos 12:45, 23 September 2005 (UTC)<<< sorry dead link
Original when new?
edit"The term "Original When New" only helps if we know when the cars were new. Any chance the actual years represented could be put in, instead? --Badger151 (talk) 18:44, 5 February 2009 (UTC)
When?
editWhen does the train of many colors come out? Are there specified times in the year, based on sports events, or is it unpredictable? Shouldn't we have something about this in this article? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.90.78.101 (talk) 19:39, 7 May 2016 (UTC)
