Primo Giro d'Eritrea (1946)

edit

I have found a detailed information about the first Tour of Eritrea done in 1946, but it is in Italian. If someone wants to translate it in english, here it is the webpage:http://www.maitacli.it/arg_menu/Sport/Ciclismo/giro_di_vita.htm --DuilioM (talk) 14:55, 6 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

lots of Eritrean winners

edit

I note that the last ten winners are all Eritrean - is this similar to the American baseball 'world' series - is there a listing of major competitors in the various races ?— Preceding unsigned comment added by EdwardLane (talkcontribs) 13:29, 6 August 2011

I'm not sure I understand: it's a national tour at the semi-professional level so we wouldn't expect a very international field and what comparison is there with the World Series - it's not exactly claiming to crown a world champion? SeveroTC 14:43, 6 August 2011 (UTC)Reply

Tour continues?

edit

According to the table, there have been winners up to 2013, yet the article states the last two tours were held in 2007/2008. Any explanation for that? Satani (talk) 02:16, 21 February 2014 (UTC)Reply

The assertion was probably made around that time, when those would have been the last two tours. As of 2014, though, the latest tour was held in 2013 and was won by Mekseb Abrha Debesay [1]. Middayexpress (talk) 18:41, 21 February 2014 (UTC)Reply
